N° 01 — The brief

Hollins had grown from one oven to three shops, but each shop looked different and the bags were plain brown paper with a rubber stamp. They wanted one identity that felt as honest as their bread.

N° 02 — The approach

We started with the early-morning light in the bakery. The wordmark is drawn from a 1930s grotesque I found on an old flour sack, widened and softened. A small wheat-sheaf stamp works at every size, from a 20mm sticker to the shop fascia. The palette is flour, crust and one bright tomato red for the weekend specials.

N° 03 — The outcome

Three shops repainted, a new range of bags, boxes and labels, and a menu board system the staff update with chalk pens. Weekend pre-orders went up 40% after the new boxes launched.

Nell understood us within an hour. The new boxes are so good customers keep them.
